SEY demystifies yoga to create a simple yet powerful way to approach your time on the mat. Through these four pillars you will find ways to get the most out of your practice to serve the WHOLE you—by feeding the soul, clearing and clarifying the mind and balancing power in the body through asana. Embodiment yoga blurs the lines between life practice and mat practice by understanding one can hold a key to the other. Get ready to shake things up, ask real questions and break through layers of beliefs and habits that will reunite the soul you to the heart space.
Pillar 1: Power of Intention
Intentions have been used and misused throughout decades to create purpose in our actions. Intentions need not only be a focus of words but a focus on preparing your body to receive. What does it mean to get your body, mind and spirit in a receiving mode? Understanding this pillar is the most valuable tool we need as individuals to tap into creativity, process and heal emotional wounds and access our database of wisdom. Without the ability to set intention and connect with a coherent heart—we miss one of the most powerful skills in mindfulness.
Pillar 2: Deconstructing the Mind
The mind doesn’t know the difference between what it directly experiences and what it holds in it’s memory. Doing self study can be incredibly complicated when working through the mind. What’s real? What’s imagined? Where are the right answers in it all? Sometimes in personal struggles these questions can make your head spin. There is nothing new to learn for any of us but what this session does is ask us to unlearn some of the harmful beliefs, judgments and collective templates that cloud the purity of the heart. If you are someone who sees your mind as an enemy get ready to make peace and unite the whole of you as a dynamic spiritual being.
Pillar 3: Inner Child
One of the most powerful paths to the heart is through the child. This session challenges the yogi to reconnect to the most vulnerable and authentic parts of themselves. Through journaling, meditation and asana the door is reopened to the inner child that lives within us all-yearning to be heard and honored for the dreams for life it once imagined. This part of us represents our passions and callings and whether you are someone who is rediscovering what that passion is or if you are clarifying your calling this workshop helps solidify both.
Pillar 4: Higher Self
The Higher Self is the bigger part of us holding our greatest good in focus. This voice whispers to us constantly on our mat and in our life and shows up as a profound “knowingness”. The Higher Self is in communication with the Inner Child and understands that the temperature of this relationship is one of the most delicate and powerful forces in our life. Through this workshop we will explore ways to reconnect to our own divinity, receive the messages of the heart and reopen our eyes to the greater forces in our life
